Presentations

Educational, informative, and inspirational—Whether your event is intended for industry professionals or employees, presentations are a perfect way to have an immediate impact on a large group.

These speaking engagements include historical and research-based information on the given topic, how the topic affects the specific audience, and how audience members can make immediate changes in their own lives and professions.

Examples of this type of work include presentations at national conferences, lectures or lectures series in academic and non-academic settings, live or virtual presentations to a team of trainers, physical therapists, movement professionals, coaches, etc.

Workshops

In-house or virtual workshops and structured courses are collaborative and intimate, making them perfect for teams seeking customized guidance.

Participants will walk away with strategies and skills to think critically about their roles as fitness professionals and to take action toward becoming more effective and holistic leaders.

Examples of this work range from one-off workshops within professional settings (ie: ‘How to Ask for Consent in Fitness & Athletic Settings’ or ‘How to Identify Toxic Team Culture’) to structured academic courses. Attendees could be physical therapists, personal trainers, coaches, athletes, fitness managers, students, etc. Workshop content is customized for each specific group.

Teaching

My seminar-style courses are designed for high school, collegiate or post-graduate students in academic settings.

Students will examine and discuss the ways that cultural narratives gender, bodies, and identities are created, reinforced, and sometimes contested in athletic and fitness spaces.

Each course is unique and tailored to the needs and goals of the particular institution where it is being held. Courses can be semester-length or shorter. The following is a non-exhaustive list of academic departments that might house these courses: Gender Studies, American Studies, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Sport Management, Sociology.

I specialize in creating a unique, customized service depending on you or your team’s needs. My experiences cultivating cultures of transparency, accountability, and growth can be applied to both limited and extended engagements.
